the Art of Protective magic

The path to the energetic realm is filled with wondrous and exciting encounters, extrasensory experiences that provide us with new understandings about the world and ourselves, as well as some unusual meetings we might prefer to avoid, yet are just as essential.

In the energetic realm, everything is interconnected. Our emotional world merges with the energetic world, and the energetic integrates with the physical. In other words, every entity we encounter will interact with our emotional world in some way or have an impact on it.

If we are conducting a ritual and have a significant lesson to learn, we might meet pleasant, wise entities or perhaps those that challenge us, teaching through confrontation—whatever suits our growth at that moment.

The key point is that there are no "evil" entities. However, there are those that demand confrontation, and it’s wise to prepare before encountering them. Another influence we should be ready for is the external world. Let’s face it—the world isn’t always fluffy and cute. There are people who are more or less pleasant, memories and emotions that linger in the air from those who felt them (more on this in the chapter on energetic forms), and influences we’d rather not let into our inner world. This is why, before engaging in deep work, it can be valuable to create an energetic barrier.

We call these barriers “Protection Circles.”

Exercise – Creating a Protection Circle

1. Imagine a white light rising slowly and gently from the earth. Inch by inch… Visualize the light enveloping your feet, then moving upward to your pelvis and back. It continues to cover your abdomen, chest, and finally the crown of your head. Envision this light protecting and surrounding you. If you prefer, you can imagine a purple light or any color that empowers you at that moment.

2. Raise your hands and picture the light radiating from them as you move them around your body, strengthening the circle more and more until it feels strong, pleasant, and stable.
3. In your heart, you can say:

“Earth, powerful Mother! I call on you to join me in this space. I ask you to protect me during this journey and guide me toward a deeper understanding of myself.

Goddess, Mother, deep Earth—surround me with a circle of protection and love.”
